Summary

Do you want to gain a unique experience as a care or welfare worker in a developing country such as The Gambia?

Detailed description

Who are we?

Travel2Connect is a small-scale social enterprise that offers interns and volunteers the opportunity - if you are open to it - to learn from another culture. We put you in direct contact with the local inhabitants of The Gambia. We strive for you to have an authentic and unique experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Activities

Would you like to gain a unique experience as a volunteer care or welfare worker in a developing country such as the Gambia? Then this is the ideal way to gain practical work experience in healthcare or on a welfare project. You learn to gain a better understanding of living conditions and healthcare in a developing country. As a volunteer you will learn essential skills and provide basic assistance. Travel2Connect collaborates with various projects. You can work as a pharmacist's assistant, as a dental assistant, as a care assistant for the disabled, as a doctor's assistant, carer or nurse. You will work with the local staff and observe trained professionals. Depending on your experience or training, you can work in a local or private hospital, a doctor's office, a pharmacy or a mobile dental office. You can also work on a project for children with disabilities. Whichever care or welfare project you choose, you will always gain a special experience.
