Atlant, living care welfare
Is a healthcare institution with nine departments in Apeldoorn, Beekbergen and Ugchelen. We take care of the elderly, people with Huntington's disease, dementia, Korsakov's syndrome and people who need chronic psychiatric nursing home care with a lot of love and attention. At Atlant you can be human; as a resident, employee and volunteer.
Will you be our new volunteer?
Paying attention to others, really being there for them. Give a moment of relaxation, to look forward to and back on, to step out of the day for a while. As a volunteer you give our resident that moment of happiness, just because you are there!
Will you be the volunteer who makes the difference?
What are you going to do?
At the Koningin Wilhelmina you will serve coffee in the living room(s) for ten people with dementia, read to them, go for a walk, paint your nails, bake cookies, sing, do the dishes or whatever fun ideas you have. You create a cosy, homely atmosphere so that people have a relaxed and pleasant morning or afternoon, which they look forward to every time.

You have patience with people and are flexible in dealing with people
You have a sense of humor but you are also a good listener
You have two hours a week (or more of course)
