Volunteer on Friday evening from 19:00-20:00 for the ZwemKlup in the Sprenkelaar swimming pool.Detailed description
SUMMARY
On Friday evening from 19:00-20:00 the ZwemKlup is in the Sprenkelaar swimming pool. Participants with disabilities swim under the guidance of volunteers at multiple levels. To strengthen our volunteer team, we are looking for a main management for the regulatory matters and co-volunteers for guidance.
Who are we?
De Klup is a meeting center for people with intellectual disabilities. Equality, hospitality and safety are values that we consider important.
SwimKlup
This weekly swimming activity is very important for the participants of the Klup. More than 35 swimmers will come from Apeldoorn and surrounding villages. Most come by Taxibus, some with their own transport. We use both the instruction pool and the competition pool.
At 6.30 pm everyone is present after which they change. The swimming activity starts at 7:00 PM. The instruction pool is intended for participants who cannot swim well. In the deep pool, for the experienced swimmers, lanes are swum and exercises are done. At 7.30 pm it is time to relax. You can then swim freely and use the whirlpool or steam bath. At 20:00 there is a shower and everyone goes back home. Participants who come by Taxibus will be picked up around 8.30 pm.
We ask:
- Affinity with people with intellectual (multiple) disabilities
- Supervision of the swimmers during the activity
- Flexibility, also in dealing with our participants
- Available on Friday evening between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm
- A swimming diploma, and you love swimming
We offer:
- Satisfaction, fun and lots of fun
- Enthusiastic and grateful participants
- A friendly team of volunteers
- Experience with various disabilities
- Volunteering with added value
