Summary

The Corona crisis means that children with an educational disadvantage are now at risk of falling further behind.
Stichting Leergeld Apeldoorn-Voorst wants to offer these primary school children extra lessons during the summer holidays.

Detailed description

Who are we?

Stichting Leergeld Apeldoorn Voorst is there for parents with school-age children aged 4-18 years. Parents who have insufficient financial capacity are supported because Apeldoorn tuition fees offer reimbursements for school costs, excursions, cycling, and extracurricular activities such as sports or cultural activities.
Last year Leergeld Apeldoorn Voorst started the initiative of a summer school. Primary school children are taught here for 6 weeks during the summer holidays to make up for arrears in math or language.
As a result of the Corona crisis, children with an educational disadvantage are now at risk of falling further behind. They often come from vulnerable families with language problems and/or poverty and therefore find it more difficult than other children to learn at home.
Stichting Leergeld Apeldoorn-Voorst wants to offer these primary school children extra lessons during the summer holidays. The (own) teachers give individual development advice that the student teachers can work on together with the children.
