Interested in art? board member and volunteers wanted

The Onclin-Chabrion Foundation is looking for a board member and volunteers.

The Onclin-Chabrion Foundation aims to maintain the painting collection of the painter Kor Onclin (1918-2003) and to develop activities to make his oeuvre accessible to a wider audience. Furthermore, the foundation aims to encourage children to develop – in a broad sense – their expressive capabilities. This happens with educational art projects at schools. The foundation was established in 1992.

Every year the Foundation organizes various exhibitions and educational projects in the Netherlands and France. Part of the collection and all kinds of news about the foundation can be seen on www.koronclin.com , social media and the webshop .

The foundation's collection is in a temporary location in Deventer, is gradually expanded thanks to donations and renovated where necessary. Finding a permanent location (50m2) is urgent.

The foundation's financial resources come from contributions from donors, reimbursements for educational projects and incidental project subsidies.

An important issue for the foundation is its continuity. Steps must be taken to rejuvenate the board and possibly also collaborate with one or more other organizations in the world of art and culture.

The (unpaid) board of the foundation consists of five people. The board meets approximately 4 times a year. In addition, board members - sometimes together with other volunteers - carry out specific activities in accordance with a pre-agreed division of tasks, such as organizing an exhibition, providing information, managing the website or financial administration.

We are looking for a new board member and one or more volunteers.

As a new board member we are looking for someone with:

• affinity with the work of Kor Onclin
• a network in the art and culture world
• regional connection (city triangle Apeldoorn, Deventer, Zutphen)
• time and interest to develop a vision for the future of the foundation together with the other board members

As a volunteer(s) we are looking for someone who:

• can help with the (incidental) organization of exhibitions and educational projects
• has experience with the use of social media and will use this for the foundation
• wants to think along and work with innovative ways to exhibit Onclin's work and use it for the development of the expression possibilities of children and adults.
