StadsAkkers is looking for a treasurer

StadsAkkers is perhaps the most special garden in Apeldoorn. Since 2013, we have been growing the tastiest fruit and vegetables at our organic care nursery, on a non-profit basis. The only profit we really care about is the growth and prosperity of our people.

We are a nice group of people who want to work, learn and develop. Volunteers without and volunteers with a distance to the labor market mixed up. We help people a step further in the context of the WMO. We sell fruit and vegetables in our store, to restaurants and to residents of Apeldoorn. In addition, we donate part of the proceeds to our volunteers, but also to the food bank and to initiatives that cook for people with little money.

As treasurer, you help determine the course of StadsAkkers. We get together once a month. We then discuss the current state of affairs and the financial state of affairs in the field and we coordinate about the coming period.

The board is closely involved and regularly present in the field. Depending on your time, you can participate in projects and workgroups. We do everything together with our employees and volunteers. For finances we have two volunteers who, among other things, do the client declarations and send the invoices.

All board members have their own expertise, but are also broadly oriented. In addition to strategic and tactical matters, we also discuss more practical matters. This way you also proactively think about new revenue models and fundraising. As an organization we would like to grow slowly in order to remain ourselves, but we also want to professionalize our organization a bit more.

In short, a very exciting and versatile task, where we desperately need your expertise.

What are you bringing?

• You have knowledge of the duties of a treasurer.
• You have the knowledge and the time to make a financial overview once a month and to explain it in the meeting.
• You have the opportunity to arrange our finances together with our volunteers.
• You consult with our accountant, Tijmen Kroes, about the financial state of affairs.
• As a board member, you participate in discussions about our strategy and our activities.
• It is nice if your network connects to this.
• Administrative experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. We are looking for someone who can put things into perspective, who can take a step back and who can think along with a broad, unbiased view.
• You are communicative.
• You are intrinsically motivated to contribute to the beautiful, pleasant place that StadsAkkers is.
