Detailed description

Zuid Doet Samen and MEE are organizing a series of mini courses for the residents of Apeldoorn-South in 2021 and 2022. This mini-course is about mourning and loss and is on Wednesday evening 17 and 24 November (19:00 – 21:30).

Every day you meet many people and you come into contact with people who experience losses. It may affect you or someone close to you.

Do you want to know more about grief and loss? Then sign up for this mini-course. Knowledge about recognizing and dealing with grief and loss can help you to understand someone better and to make contact more smoothly. This mini-course provides an introduction to people who want to strengthen their knowledge and skills in the field of grief and loss.

Life offers us the opportunity to connect and to assign value to something: a basic condition for a meaningful existence. Connecting us, however, also creates the possibility of loss.

Losses occur at all stages of a person's life and can lead to grief. Grief is a healthy response to loss and comes in different forms. We mourn a loved one who has passed away, the loss of a job, a miscarriage, a broken relationship, a lost future perspective or ideal.

Grief can raise questions about meaning and meaning, lead to feelings of sadness and disruption, cause physical stress complaints and result in changed needs. These are not always recognized as “mourning” by the mourner or the environment, which can complicate the recovery process.

This mini-course mourning and loss consists of two interactive evening meetings where you receive information, but also talk to each other. This gives you more insight into grief and loss and the impact it has on life.

An experienced expert will also tell about her life. Of course there is also room for your questions.
