deA is a cooperative of and for Apeldoorn. Together we make Apeldoorn sustainable. Are you involved, enthusiastic and committed and do you want to commit yourself in and from this energetic cooperative? Please respond!

The current chairman is stepping down from the board after a long time. We would like to get in touch with candidates who want to work with us on local, fossil-free energy for everyone.

The board works with a daily board (DB) and also has four board members with their own specific portfolio. The DB consists of the chairman, secretary and treasurer. The four other portfolios are currently: political developments, internal contacts and member activities, external contacts, technical developments. The portfolios are divided within the board in mutual consultation according to the interests, skills and affinity of the board members.

The board of Coöperatie deA determines the frameworks and policy together with the members and the General Members' Meeting. Within that agreed framework, Energiebedrijf deA BV takes care of the implementation. The cooperative fully owns the energy company.

What are you going to do?

As chairman you are the face of Coöperatie deA.
You initiate, stimulate and inspire.
You represent the cooperative to the outside world (representation).
You ensure the connection within the board, within the cooperative and with the members and with the energy company.
You coordinate the work of the board.

What are you taking with you?

Involvement and enthusiasm.
Affinity with a (cooperative) association and the objective of theA.
Administrative and/or organizational experience.
Enough time; approx. one half day/day per week.
It is a plus if you also have experience with developments around sustainable
energy or with a young organization.

Directors work unpaid, there is a good expense allowance.
