Detailed description

Invitation to volunteers

On Tuesday evening, July 4, we organize an information about Non-Congenital Brain Injury (NAH) for volunteers.

You meet a lot of people in your volunteer work. They may also include people with NAH. Maybe someone close to you. Brain injury can occur at birth, but also if as a result of, for example, a cerebral infarction, accident, tumour, cardiac arrest, cerebral haemorrhage or surgery. Life changes radically for that person and his loved ones. You don't always recognize that someone has NAH. Knowledge about recognizing and dealing with people with brain injury can help you understand the other person better and make communication run more smoothly. So that someone with NAH can participate as much as possible in society. Because everyone wants to participate, belong, use your talents. An estimated 6,500 people live with NAH in Apeldoorn.

Trainer Amanda Schipper of MEE Samen explains NAH and theater group Wirwar plays a number of scenes about living with NAH and they talk about it with you. Players of Wirwar have brain injury and show in a moving, confrontational and humorous way what their life with brain injury looks like. Of course there is also room for your questions.

A maximum of 20 participants can participate. So give up quickly.

For more information about this meeting, please contact:
