VACANCY: VOLUNTEERS FOR THE ADOPTION GROUP
Amnesty International Working Group Apeldoorn is looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the Adoption Group (m/f)
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
Affinity with the work of Amnesty International.
Bustling with ideas or just likes to work out ideas in a practical way.
Loyalty and teamwork are fun and important.
The English language has a reasonable to good command.
ADOPTION GROUP ACTIVITIES:
In the adoption group, prisoners are adopted by Amnesty. This means that a certain person gets long-term attention and sometimes letters too! This “long-term” method may eventually induce a government to release a prisoner or improve his/her situation.
You can decide for yourself how much time you have available.
FURTHER FURTHER FIXED PARTS OF THE ANNUAL PLANNING OF THE WORKING GROUP ARE:
Stand in a booth every now and then.
Helping out during regular Amnesty campaigns, such as Human Rights Day (10 December), International Women's Day (8 March) and Liberation Day (5 May).
Occasional meetings in the evenings.
YOU CAN EXPECT THIS FROM US:
The work brings you into contact with enthusiastic people. Our working group consists of approximately 25 people who work in all kinds of ways for Amnesty and for human rights in general.
The expenses you incur will of course be reimbursed.
Amnesty International holds workshops and study days, locally, regionally and nationally, where you can receive information and receive additional training. Our The working group offers you a lot of support, a warm atmosphere and time to familiarize yourself.
A high degree of independence.
Professional action material to work with.
