'Re-creation' refers to renewal, refreshment; the purpose of recreation is to recharge the personal range of action, to renew energy, to clear your mind and to discharge built-up tension.In the Heemhof nursing home you can choose from a wide range of activities, including various recreational activities, a discussion group, a film afternoon and all kinds of music activities. Volunteers contribute to this.
We are now actively looking for volunteers who want to help with the recreational activities in the weekend, especially for the residents of both target groups (elderly people with dementia, people with Huntington's disease) who would like to experience something.

Who are we?
At Atlant we give space, literally and figuratively. For us, people are the most important thing. Every person is beautiful. We support vulnerable people. That is our raison d'être. We do this attentively, with full conviction, straight from the heart! Our employees and volunteers are crucial in this, they are worth their weight in gold. They have time for others, do what they are good at, speak to each other and grow.
Activities
The Heemhof has a recreation afternoon on the third Saturday of the month. This afternoon an artist can come and perform. Residents and family members from all over the location are welcome.
For the activity, we prepare the room for the activity that is being organized. Then we pick up the residents who like to go out. During the activity, you pay attention to the residents and any visitors who have come along. You help out during the break to offer the residents a drink and a snack if available. The employees and volunteers are needed to make the activity run smoothly and with a good atmosphere. You already understand, you have to like parties and be able to create an atmosphere that fits the activity.

We offer
The activity leader explains the possibilities of the residents, and how you as a volunteer can best deal with the residents. So that you can relax together once a month and gain new energy.
- Start getting to know the activity supervisor, employees, fellow volunteers, and residents of the 4 different departments,
- Finding your way around this location and the Grand Café,
- Good information about the resident and how to deal with the different residents,

Time Spent
Once a month on Saturday afternoon from 1:50 PM to 4:15 PM, the third Saturday of the month.
