Then this might be your volunteer vacancy!

Volunteer who cooks for us

We are looking for a volunteer who cooks once a week for a group of residents with Huntington's disease. Smell and taste experience are paramount.

Who are we?

Below is a quote from Atlant's vision:

At Atlant we give space, literally and figuratively. For us, people are the most important thing. Every person is beautiful. We support vulnerable people. That is our right to exist. We do this attentively, with full conviction, straight from the heart! Our employees and volunteers are crucial in this, they are worth their weight in gold. They have time for others, do what they are good at, speak to each other and grow.

We not only work closely with the social network of the residents, but also with volunteers. They are very important to us. We provide knowledge and cooperation, so that the volunteer can give his attention to the resident.

Where can you find us?

The vacancy is for the Heemhof location, Beatrijsgaarde 5, 7329 BK Apeldoorn

Heemhof is a modern and beautifully located nursing home that offers living space and specialized nursing home care to people with dementia or Huntington's disease . Within walking distance you will find a walking park and the largest shopping center in the district.

What are you going to do ?

You cook a delicious meal for the group. You are in contact with the activity supervisors, you coordinate with them and discuss what is and what is not possible.

What can you expect from us:

Before you start you will receive an explanation about the Huntington's disease, the activity supervisor will tell you more about the residents and any rules of conduct.

  • Introduction
  • Information about the target group, if necessary about the individual resident within the group
  • Course not choking, but swallowing and other relevant training
  • Third party accident insurance
  • Travel expenses reimbursement

About Atlant

"We give space"
Space is a place, your own environment with everything that goes with it: sound, smell, light, atmosphere, colour, thoughts, your dreams. Space is also an almost infinitely available place, an opportunity, possibilities. It is all that we wish for every person - client, neighbor, volunteer, employee - everyone. We want to give that space: a place to be yourself. With space you can develop yourself, however you want. Exactly what suits you.
