Employee at the meal on Sunday evening

Once a month on Sunday, anyone who wants to can join the meal between 17:00 and 18:00 at the drop-in center De Herberg. This drop-in center is owned by Stichting De Herberg Apeldoorn, which is committed to people who are a source of friction in society.

As a meal employee, you and your two other colleagues ensure that the tables are set at 16:45 and that guests can be warmly welcomed. The chef will have prepared a 2- or 3-course menu and you will help serve it. Between the different courses, you will clear the table and prepare the next course. As an employee, you will also eat along and contribute to the conversations during the meal in order to create a homely atmosphere.

The visitors of the drop-in centre are very diverse. What they have in common is that they come to meet (with each other) and have fun. It is also true for most of them that life is not always easy and they experience difficulties in several areas of life. We think it is important that everyone is welcome and that everyone is held in high regard as a person. Circumstances change

there's nothing to it.

In terms of availability, we ask for a minimum commitment of 1x per month. It would be ideal if you are available every other week. You always work together with two other employees. Together you ensure that it was a pleasant and smooth meal for everyone. You also ensure that the

living room and kitchen (including dishes) are clean again.

Working at De Herberg is very satisfying. You work with great people (both colleagues and visitors) and you provide a healthy and cozy bite for people for whom this is not self-evident. De Herberg provides guidance and introduction, a well-equipped living room/kitchen and coordination with other employees. You end up in a team with driven people, in which you can also experience conviviality and involvement.
