Employees Walk-in House De Herberg

From Sunday to Friday, walk-in house De Herberg has its doors open every afternoon from 1.30 pm to 4 pm. This walk-in house belongs to Stichting De Herberg Apeldoorn, which is committed to people for whom society chafes.

As an employee of the walk-in house, you provide a hospitable welcome to visitors and offer them fun and a listening ear. Before the doors can be opened, you and two other employees make sure that tea and coffee are ready. You serve this during opening hours, just like bread that visitors can ask for. Soup is also available on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and you support the soup cooker when serving it. In addition to serving food and drinks, there is usually plenty of room to talk to visitors or, for example, to play a game. We see this contact as the most important part of what we do.

After closing the doors, you will ensure that everything is cleaned up together.

The visitors to the walk-in house are very diverse. What they have in common is that they come by for the (mutual) meeting and socializing. It also applies to the majority that life is not always easy and they experience difficulties in several areas of life. We think it is important that everyone is welcome and that everyone is held in high esteem as a person. Circumstances don't change that.

In terms of availability, we ask for a minimum commitment of 2x per month, so that a bond can be built with the visitors.
