Summary

Being involved in a place that functions as a home for people that society chafes for by using your talent for taking minutes.

Detailed description

Every month (work meeting) and once a quarter (employee meeting) the volunteers have a meeting about the ins and outs of walk-in house De Herberg. This walk-in house belongs to Stichting De Herberg Apeldoorn, which is committed to people for whom society chafes.

Visitors to the walk-in house are very diverse. What they have in common is that they come by for the (mutual) meeting and socializing. It also applies to the majority that life is not always easy and they experience difficulties in several areas of life. We think it is important that everyone is welcome and that everyone is held in high esteem as a person. Circumstances don't change that.

As a note taker you record the important things:

  • of the monthly work consultation meetings

There are 6 employees in this work meeting, including the note taker. The work meeting meets monthly to discuss current affairs of the walk-in center and to prepare the employee meetings. Currently these meetings take place on the first Tuesday of the month (this can be changed in consultation).

  • of one employee meeting per quarter

There are also monthly staff meetings, to which all approximately 60 volunteers are invited. These meetings include informal meals, training courses to promote expertise and also meetings in which various matters are discussed and decided. As a minute-taker, you draw up minutes of one of these meetings approximately once per quarter. The planning for this is made well (= months) in advance.

Both meetings will last approximately 2 hours.

If desired, the coordinators, who are present at the work consultations and the staff meetings, contribute ideas in drawing up the minutes and read along with the draft.

Working at De Herberg gives a lot of satisfaction. You work with and for beautiful people (colleagues and visitors). And you contribute to a loving place that is not self-evident for everyone.

De Herberg provides guidance and introduction. You will end up in a team with driven people, in which you can experience fun and involvement yourself.
