Register as a Flex Volunteer and help a fellow citizen get through the summer!
Many people are lonely during the summer months. Volunteers and family members go on holiday, activities come to a standstill and there is much less traffic than usual. Especially during this period you can mean a lot to someone, just with your attention and time.
De Kap is looking for volunteers who want to do volunteer work on a flexible basis during the summer months. Consider, for example, visiting someone at home, helping with the weekly shopping, drinking a cup of coffee together or going for a walk together.
One of our volunteers says:
'I find volunteer work at De Kap enriching. You come into contact with people you wouldn't normally meet. It's nice to be able to contribute something to society.'
So, if you are flexibly available to visit someone in the months of July and August, we would like to get to know you. Together we will look at what is most suitable for your situation and available time.
