Volunteer Swimming Club

SUMMARY

On Friday evening from 19:00-20:00 is the ZwemKlup in swimming pool de Sprenkelaar. Participants with a disability swim under the supervision of volunteers at multiple levels. To strengthen our volunteer team, we are looking for a head management for the administrative matters and fellow volunteers for the supervision.

Who are we?

De Klup is a meeting centre for people with intellectual disabilities. Equality, hospitality and safety are values that we consider important.

Swimming Club

For the participants of the Klup this weekly swimming activity is very important. There are more than 35 swimmers from Apeldoorn and surrounding villages. Most come by Taxibus, some with their own transport. We use both the instruction pool and the competition pool.

At 18:30 everyone is present after which they change. The swimming activity starts at 19:00. The instruction pool is intended for participants who cannot swim well. In the deep pool, for the experienced swimmers, lanes are swum and exercises are done. At 19:30 it is time to relax. You can then swim freely and use the whirlpool or steam bath. At 20:00 everyone takes a shower and goes home again. Participants who come by Taxibus are picked up around 20:30.

• Guidance of the swimmers during the activity
• Flexibility, also in dealing with our participants
• Available on Friday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:30pm
• A swimming diploma, and you like swimming
