Volunteer Story of Gelderland Festival

On 26 & 27 August 2023, the Story of Gelderland Festival will take place at Cannenburch Castle in Vaassen. During this festive and historic weekend, Gelderland history comes to life, from prehistory to the present. This year the theme of the festival is: Land & Water. There are historical figures (re-enactment), guided tours around the castle, children's activities and performances by artists, including singer-songwriter Marike de Jager. To make the festival run as smoothly as possible, we need volunteers who know how to get things done.

What are you going to do?

For August 26 and 27, we are looking for people who would like to help during the Story of Gelderland Festival. Do you like to roll up your sleeves and would you like to participate in a historical festival? We offer various activities:

• Welcoming visitors and showing them around the site
• Supervising activities, lectures and performances
• Conduct public research
• Hand and span services for the construction and dismantling of the locations and tents

Part of the day is already nice, several days is even better. We can agree on the parts of the day / times in consultation.

What do we offer

You participate in a cozy team and can gain experience in all the ins and outs of a historic festival at a beautiful location. You can camp (for free) (with your own tent) at the volunteer campsite at the castle. Lunch will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
