Summary

For the historical festival Story of Gelderland Final Weekend at Cannenburch Castle we are looking for volunteers for various activities.

Detailed description

The Story of Gelderland Final Weekend will take place on 13 & 14 August 2022. During this festive and historic weekend, Gelderland's history, from prehistory to the twentieth century, comes to life around Cannenburch Castle in Vaassen. In addition to re-enactment and lectures, various regional and national artists will also perform, such as rapper Rico, Clean Pete + Anne Soldaat and Farida Nabibaks. To make the festival run as smoothly as possible, we need volunteers who know how to get things done.

What are you going to do?

For 11 to 14 August we are looking for people who would like to help before and/or during the final weekend. Do you like to roll up your sleeves and would you like to participate in a historical festival? We offer various activities:

  • On 11 and 12 August we are looking for people who want to help build and furnish the festival tents for the workshops, lectures and performances.
  • On August 13 and 14 we are looking for helping hands to guide visitors around the site and between the festivities.
  • On August 14, we are looking for people who can help phase out.

Practical information

  • You can come by public transport/own transport, or you live near Vaassen.
  • We like to participate in part of the day, several days is even nicer.

What do we offer?

  • You will be part of a friendly team and you can gain experience in all the ins and outs of a historic festival in a beautiful location.
  • You can camp (for free) (with your own tent) at the volunteer campsite near the castle.
  • Lunch will be provided.
  • Travel expenses are reimbursed.
