The role of the volunteer is to supplement existing informal care and to support them in caring for people in the last phase of their lives.

Working in a hospice presupposes a people-oriented attitude with empathy. A stable personality is a self-evident condition for providing assistance to a dying fellow human being.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Main tasks:
A. Guiding the guest and caregiver(s)
B. Providing the guest with partial physical and hygienic care
C. Doing household chores
D. Keeping track of own knowledge and skills.
