Summary

Do you love swimming and want to make a difference for the elderly? Become a volunteer and help our residents with their biweekly trips to the pool!

Detailed description

The Veldhuis location is a nursing home where residents still live independently but are dependent on care.

Every two weeks on Thursday mornings, a group of KleinGeluk residents goes swimming. We are looking for support for a Veldhuis resident with this activity. Primarily, we will provide transportation to and from the pool, and if possible, assistance with getting dressed and undressed. Swimming along is welcome, but not required.

At KleinGeluk, we never miss an opportunity to promote the well-being of seniors. As a volunteer, you're invaluable to us! Sharing small moments of happiness together makes people feel valued. That's what we do it for.

We offer guidance and, if needed, you can participate in workshops to develop new skills. You can start working for just a few hours a month.

Good to know: as a volunteer you are insured (third party liability and accident insurance) and before starting work we request a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

Interested or want to have a cup of coffee with one of our volunteer and welfare coordinators? Call our helpline at 0800-0604 or email [email protected]
