Summary

Information about invisible disabilities by MEE Veluwe and Zuid Doet Samen

Detailed description

Information about invisible disabilities

In daily life we often encounter it: Miscommunication. One person does not understand the other and vice versa. Sometimes the reason for this miscommunication appears to be a non-visible disability of the other person. This could be a non-visible disability such as autism, non-congenital brain injury, or a mild intellectual disability. When you recognize this and take this into account in your communication, communication will go better. So do you experience communication with family members, neighbors or colleagues with autism, an intellectual disability or another disability as difficult? Do you think it is important to connect with the other person as much as possible? Then this information is for you.

During this information session you will receive some tools to help you recognize things and how you can respond to them in your communication.

Translating language into practice and society. The goal is to experience the impact of (un)clear communication. The common thread is always the Invisible Restriction.

This information consists of interactive meetings with theory, videos and experience exercises that give you more insight into what a non-visible disability entails and what impact it has on the life of the person themselves and their loved ones.

Of course there is also room for your questions.
