Women's shelter is looking for a language buddy

Who are we?

Moviera stands for tackling domestic violence. We have various shelter locations where we provide shelter and assistance. These are often mothers with children who have experienced domestic violence.

Activities

We are looking for a female buddy who has time to give clients attention, where necessary. For example, learning the Dutch language, finding your way around the city or going out together.

We ask

• You enjoy helping people and you master the Dutch language.
• You find it a challenge to communicate with speakers of other languages (e.g. via Google Translate)
• You have strong social skills (reliable, independent and friendly)
• You can set priorities and boundaries
• You are able to submit a Certificate of Good Conduct and provide a reference.
• You can subscribe to the organization's code of conduct.

Time commitment

Depending on the client's request and the volunteer's capabilities. Buddies usually meet up once a week.
