Detailed description

Description of the activities

· Coordinating (including shaping volunteer policy, support and advocacy of volunteers) of volunteer work within Omnisport Association WSV.

· Stimulating the volunteer coordinators within Omnisport Association WSV (responsible for, among other things, enthusing, connecting the departments, point of contact for the volunteer coordinators).

  • Making an inventory of the state of affairs regarding the volunteer policy, keeping the file of volunteers up-to-date and ensuring an up-to-date policy.
  • Making a plan that describes the future need for volunteers within the association and takes measures to ensure that this need can be met on a permanent basis.
  • Ensures the coordination of a planned approach to the recruitment of new volunteers.
  • Stimulates measures to attract underrepresented target groups in consultation with the departments.
  • Makes an inventory of or is aware of the wishes, needs and motives of volunteers.
  • Ensures that the wishes, needs and motives of the various volunteers are taken into account as much as possible in the fulfillment of tasks, in close cooperation with the volunteer coordinators of the departments.
  • Is committed to the position of volunteers and encourages measures aimed at expressing appreciation for the efforts of the many volunteers.
  • Coordinates the placement and relocation of volunteers and the introduction of (new) volunteers in their position.
  • Coordinates the supervision of volunteers by organizing various consultation situations and volunteer meetings together with the departments.
  • Ensures clear agreements with volunteer coordinators. These agreements relate to:
  • - Job descriptions/activities/working hours/working conditions
  • - Notice period/transfer of tasks/information/materials
  • - Guidance, training and professional development of volunteers
  • - Internal communication/participation/co-determination of volunteers
  • - Expense allowances/travel allowance/insurances
  • Ensures that the agreements are recorded in writing

Characteristics of the Volunteer Coordinator

· Experience in working with volunteers

· Being able to think policy-wise (developing a vision and volunteer policy; keeping track of developments and translating them into volunteer work).

· Being able to work independently (determine priorities, take initiative, consult, solve problems, make choices).

· Good social skills (being able to make contacts and deal with very different people, listening, empathizing, having individual and group conversations, being able to deal with emotions, being able to deal with resistance and criticism).

· Good connecting skills (being able to use different styles, motivating and stimulating volunteer coordinators, dividing and delegating tasks, stimulating team formation).

 

 

 

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Volunteers are the driving force behind Omnisport Association WSV. Without them no sport, tournaments, events, terrain, board or organization. To manage and recruit those volunteers, we are looking for a driver portfolio volunteers. Does this role suit you?

We are looking for a person who enjoys working for Omnisport Association WSV and would like to make a substantial contribution to the social function of the club. A person who wants to work independently within a jointly set framework. Someone who knows how to convey his or her enthusiasm for the association to the other volunteer coordinators. Furthermore, has an eye and ear for what lives among the volunteers and knows how to steer this in the right direction.

As a director portfolio volunteers you are part of the General Board and you ensure the coordination of the volunteer policy within Omnisport Association WSV. Together with the volunteer coordinators you ensure the implementation of the policy. You support and guide them and if necessary you stimulate their expertise. You make agreements with the coordinators and the board and you ensure that everyone complies with the rules and agreements. From the board, you are the spokesperson to and from this committed group of people.
