Summary

You are part of the team of public counselors and together with them you provide interactive programs for our visitors.

Detailed description

We are looking for Volunteer Public Facilitators!

VOLUNTARY PUBLIC GUIDE

We are a museum where many impressive stories are waiting to be shared. Also as a volunteer you are eager to get acquainted with this, to immerse yourself in it and to actively invite our visitors to interact. You know how to amaze them and discover the stories of the museum together with them.

Our palace is there for everyone: from the youngest to the oldest visitor. As a volunteer you help to present our various stories and programming in and around the palace. You give our visitors an impressive day. From 15 April 2022 Paleis Het Loo will open its doors again and you can be part of a new storyline in the history of the museum.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO:

You are part of the team of public counselors and together with them you provide interactive programs for our visitors. Together with visitors you will discover the stories from the history, the collections and the inhabitants of the museum. You are the point of contact for questions about these subjects and about the palace gardens or you attract visitors to story stages. You do not shy away from different perspectives and you introduce visitors to new (historical) contexts and open up new worlds of thought. As a voluntary public guide, your work is diverse: you are present in the palace, the palace garden or on the stable square.

What do we think is important?

You have an open attitude and the ability to activate and captivate the other. You combine this with a passion for historical stories and (art) history. You speak Dutch, and we are curious which language you master. As a volunteer you are available at least one half day a week and once a month at the weekend and if you like to be there more often, there is room for that too. We are open on both weekdays and weekends, so plan for these times.

WE OFFER:

You work in an environment where history is and is being written. As a volunteer you are part of the team that welcomes our visitors every day. We may ask you to be present at special moments, such as events. We do this in consultation, with an eye for a good balance with other (private) activities. Because our volunteers are important to us, we also show our appreciation by inviting you to activities, outings and meetings.
