Detailed description

When you see the Red Cross, you see help. Do you want to mean something to someone else?

 

The Red Cross first responders have provided help in many ways; in the Corona crisis, in the reception of refugees and at many large and small events. As a first responder you come across all kinds of things. A faint, a concussion, a hemorrhage, alcohol poisoning or a sprain. Will you take action when someone needs immediate help? Watch our YouTube channel for a video about event first responders at the Red Cross and sign up!

 

What are you going to do?

As a Red Cross aid worker, you are trained for unexpected situations, and you can keep your skills up to date at various events. Is someone injured or unwell? You keep a cool head and take responsibility. During a sports match, a festival, a funfair or wherever the Red Cross is asked for support. You and your team are ready where help is needed.


As a first aid worker you get:

· Meaningful and responsible volunteer work, you make the difference;

· A range of relevant training courses to expand your first aid knowledge and prepare you for first aid, partly online;

· The free choice for which events or other services you register;

· Many new contacts and experiences, personal development or a better CV.


Who are you?

· You are 18 years or older;

· You have a valid first aid certificate or are willing to obtain one and you endorse our Basic Principles;

· You are stress-resistant and physically capable of first aid and resuscitation actions;

· You listen well and respond promptly to the needs of those seeking help;

· You are available for at least 52 hours per year for deployment during open shifts.

About Rode Kruis district Noord- en Oost Gelderland

Vrijwilligers van het Rode Kruis zetten zich in voor verschillende activiteiten om hulp te verlenen voor mensen die het aan basislevensbehoeften ontbreekt, of dat nu eerste hulp, voedsel of onderdak is. We verlenen eerste hulp bij evenementen en vaccinaties, geven EHBO cursussen en voorlichting op scholen.
