Summary
You offer a listening ear to people with concerns, sadness or problems. You do this - from your own home - without judgment and anonymously, by telephone or chat.Detailed description
What do we ask?
You are genuinely interested in others, you listen without judgment and you have an open attitude. Every conversation is different and it is not easy but certainly not boring work. You are stable in life and have space in your head, heart and agenda.
- On average, you do 1 4-hour shift or 2 2-hour shifts per week. You do this from your own home.
- You can schedule the services yourself.
- At night the need for conversation is often great. You work a 4-hour night shift once a month. If you do 2 hour shifts, this is 2 shifts.
What does it get you?
If you start working at the Listening Line Apeldoorn, you will also benefit a lot:
- Much satisfaction. At the Listening Line you do volunteer work that really makes a difference for others.
- You will receive professional training in conversation and listening skills.
- After the training, we will continue to guide you professionally.
- You have fascinating conversations that are not only meaningful to the other person, but also to you.
- You are part of a close-knit team of volunteers.
- You participate in inspiring meetings on topics such as loneliness, loss and depression.
