Come and help in the Da Capo sewing workshop. You help (in particular) migrant women to become familiar with the sewing trade (basic techniques) and you help with the production of bags and the like for sale. We mainly work with used fabrics and banners and transform them into bags, for example.Detailed description
FURTHER DESCRIPTION
The Da Capo Foundation supports migrant women in better integration and participation in society. they can go to Dutch lessons, but also participate in the sewing workshop.
Sewing lessons are given in the workshop. In addition to the lessons, the women can also work in the production workshop, where they work together on a Da Capo product line for sale. Usually we have orders from outside for banner making bags.
Da Capo can really use the help of creative volunteers. Are you good at sewing? Can you both try out new things and supervise a small production process in a group? Would you like to familiarize the participating migrant women with this and also be involved in transferring the Dutch language in the process? Then this super fun volunteer work is for you
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
1 or 2 half days per week. We are currently looking for people who want to come and help in the morning or afternoon.
