Summary

Come help in the sewing workshop of Da Capo. You help (mainly) migrant women to become familiar with the sewing profession (basic techniques) and you help with the production of bags and such for sale. We work mainly with used fabrics and banners and transform them into bags, for example.

Detailed description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Stichting Da Capo supports migrant women to better integrate and participate in society. They can take Dutch lessons, but also participate in the sewing workshop.

In the studio, lessons are given in sewing. In addition to the lessons, the women can also work in the production studio, where they work together on a Da Capo product line for sale. We usually have orders from outside for making bags from banners.

Da Capo could really use the help of creative volunteers. Are you good at sewing? Can you try out new things and supervise a small production process in a group? Do you enjoy teaching the participating migrant women how to do this and also being involved in transferring the Dutch language? Then this is a super fun volunteer job for you

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

1 half day per week. Currently preferred is Monday morning.

At Da Capo you help migrant women on their way to better participate in society. Gaining work experience and working on self-esteem and self-confidence is important. But also learning Dutch better. So you can make a difference for participating women!
