Volunteer coordinator

We need extra hands when organizing our activities. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you are responsible for attracting new volunteers and motivating current volunteers. You ensure nice matches between volunteers and positions, and you also guide and support the volunteers during their efforts.

Expected time commitment

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you are expected to spend an average of 2 hours per month on this position. The number of hours may vary depending on the size and needs of the foundation. In addition, there may be peak times around specific projects or events that require additional volunteer efforts. That is why we appreciate flexibility in planning and the willingness to sometimes invest extra time from our volunteers.

The tasks at a glance

• Attracting new volunteers through online platforms, networking events and collaborations with educational institutions, etc.
• Conducting interviews with (potential) volunteers to assess their interests, skills and availability, and match them with suitable positions within the foundation.
• Organizing and coordinating introductory meetings and/or training for new volunteers to familiarize them with the foundation, its vision and working methods.
• Ensuring good communication and involving volunteers with the Simply Gegund Foundation, through newsletters and other internal communication channels.
• Coordinate the scheduling of volunteer services.
• Maintaining an overview of volunteer data, such as contact information, availability and results achieved.
