Summary
As an employee of the NAbij Foundation, you support people in the last phase of their lives. These people are of all ages. They have been admitted to a hospital, live at home or in a nursing or care institution in Apeldoorn and the surrounding areaDetailed description
Who are we?
The NAbij Foundation is active in Arnhem and the surrounding area. We also regularly deploy our people in Apeldoorn. We support people in the palliative terminal phase and this is completely tailored to the wishes of the care recipient. We are looking for new colleagues for Apeldoorn and the surrounding area.
Activities
You are looking for a place where you can volunteer for someone else. You want to think along, enter into a conversation and offer a listening ear and a helping hand. You are looking for a place where you can be deployed flexibly so that it fits in with your other activities.
The activities at the NAbij Foundation depend entirely on the question and the situation someone is in, but also on what you like to do. You are an important support for someone who needs this, but also a colleague to make a difference with us. Examples are, visiting a doctor together, going out for a while, having a conversation, but especially BEING THERE in this last period of someone's life.
We ask
If you can be without judgment and get along well with people, then you have the most important skills needed to be there for someone else.
- Who are you? You have an affinity with people in the last phase of life.
- You know how to gain access to your fellow man and you dare to build a bond
- You know where your limits are and you can indicate them
- You have a healthy dose of guts and humor
- You are firmly in your shoes
- You make time for a work meeting and training together with your colleagues
Do you recognize yourself in this? Then sign up for a no-obligation conversation. We will then look together at what we can do for each other.
We offer
Your commitment is meaningful to someone else. You help and make someone happy. You can actually do something against loneliness, fulfill wishes and give color to the last bit of someone's life. This provides valuable contacts and the feeling that you can really contribute to the well-being of someone else.
You, together with us, make it possible for people to be seen and to die at home.
There is room for your own development and growth. We tailor your work and the time you can invest to your wishes and abilities. You are not alone with us. We provide good basic training so that you are well prepared for work. And do you still get stuck or do you have questions? Then our coordinator is always available for support.
You will be part of a close and nice team. Expenses and travel expenses incurred will of course be reimbursed.
More information can be found at www.nabij.nu or call Karin Slot, coordinator on 06-20124059.
Time use
This is in consultation with each other and depends on supply and demand. We assume a basic time commitment of 4 hours per week. Every volunteer starts with a compulsory basic training. This will start in the spring and will take place online.
