Summary

Our volunteers help riders with a physical and/or mental disability to ride horses in a recreational and therapeutic manner.

Come join our team of volunteers at the horse riding lessons of the Horse Riding Disabled Apeldoorn Foundation!


The Horse Riding Disabled Foundation (SPG) Apeldoorn is selflessly committed to offering approximately 60 riders with a disability the opportunity to ride horses recreationally.

What are you going to do?

As a horse riding volunteer you have an important and active role before, during and after the lessons. This is expected of you:

· guiding the rider on horseback during the lessons

· help give substance to the lessons by placing certain instruments

· caring for and saddling the horses together with the riders

 

How much time does this take?

At least 1 to 2 hours per week (or otherwise in consultation) at one of the lesson times

It is ridden weekly

Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM;

Tuesday from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM;

Thursday from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

 

What do we expect from you?

· Be open to people with disabilities

· be able to work well together

· Preferably some experience in dealing with horses

· an annual outing with the team of volunteers
