As a coordinator, you and the Integration program counselor are the point of contact for language coaches and classroom assistants.Detailed description
As a coordinator, you conduct introductory meetings with new volunteers where you explain their work. You also make connections between volunteers and non-native speakers. You also organize semi-annual volunteer meetings and monitor progress through regular contact with volunteers. Finally, you ensure proper administrative processing of all data.
What do we ask?
VluchtelingenWerk is looking for a volunteer with a higher vocational education (HBO) working and thinking level, who wants to work 1 to 2 half days a week for a longer period. As a volunteer you recognize yourself in the following profile:
• Strong organizational skills, like to arrange things
• Affinity with the target group of refugees and with (Dutch) education
• Ability to work in a structured manner
• Good communicative skills
• Able to work independently
• Be good at using a computer
• Flexibility and creativity in dealing with unexpected and unknown situations
