Summary
We offer legal support and guidance to the residents of AsielSeekersCentra (AZCs) and emergency shelters.Detailed description
The Council for Refugees supports refugees and asylum seekers from the moment they are received in the Netherlands until they have found their way independently.
For this we are immediately looking for committed volunteers.
Legal experience is not necessary; we offer a short but thorough induction program and courses. There is always room for discussion about which tasks you would or would not like to take on. You work in an enthusiastic team under the guidance of an experienced team leader.
The Council for Refugees will be present on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Main tasks:
Together with your colleagues, you hold consultation hours in which you answer clients' questions;
You provide (group) information to the residents of the emergency shelter about the asylum procedure and other legal matters;
You guide clients individually in their specific procedures and monitor progress. You analyze the client's escape story based on the file and provide insight into where the strong and weaker sides are;
If people are allowed to stay in the Netherlands, their nuclear family can come to the Netherlands. You complete family reunification application forms together with the client and then supervise the procedure.
