Summary

Do you value making people feel welcome? Do you connect easily? Do you enjoy being the central figure in the organization? Become a receptionist!

Detailed description

We are currently looking for a receptionist to work Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A flexible schedule of approximately 4 hours per week would also be ideal.

As a receptionist, you'll welcome people at the Vluchtelingenwerk office in Apeldoorn and make them feel at ease. You'll answer calls or connect them with the right person. Sometimes you'll refer people to other organizations. You'll process mail and ensure fresh coffee and tea are always available. Light administrative tasks may also be part of your duties. This way, you ensure refugees receive optimal care at your location and provide valuable support to the team.

This is what you get

  • A stimulating work environment with room for your own development.
  • Plenty of opportunities to learn more about other cultures.
  • Pleasant team under the guidance of a professional.
  • An induction programme and the opportunity to take various courses in addition.
  • Travel or expense allowance.

What do you need to become a counter clerk?

As a receptionist, you are the face of a location. You easily connect with both refugees and agencies, and you can explain things clearly and simply. You are customer-oriented, presentable, and maintain a good overview. You are also able to work accurately and independently. Naturally, we expect a respectful attitude towards cultural differences and the integrity of confidential information. We require all our employees to sign a Certificate of Good Conduct.

Everyone knows me here. When refugees enter our building and see me from afar, they often wave right away, even before they reach the reception desk.
