Organizational help wanted for activities around autism

Who are they?

Wende wants to connect: bring people with a form of autism together and offer a pleasant evening or activity. Do fun things and share experiences. Meeting new people and building social contacts in a pleasant, quiet environment. Wende derives its raison d'être from volunteers' champs. All different and all curious, passionate and supportive. Volunteers with and without autism.

Role and responsibilities:

• As a volunteer of the Wende Café, you work together with other volunteers to organize about 1 activity per month.
• For example, activities such as walking, cooking, theater, reading, music bingo, gardening
• You help organize activities that match the principles of the Wende café.
• You like to think along with PR possibilities.
• You like to be present at the activities yourself.
• You are also part of the Wende working group, which meets about four times a year with consultations by e-mail in between. Together with your working group colleagues, you contribute.

• You are involved, enthusiastic and enjoy working for Wende
• The other is central to the development of activities
• You are communicatively strong and show initiative
• You can work well together and put yourself in someone else's shoes
• You have an affinity with people with autism and/or are an expert by experience

They provide

The opportunity to gain work experience in the social domain. You are committed to your fellow man with autism and are active in a part of the welfare network in Apeldoorn. This commitment is very welcome, much appreciated and completely voluntary. The Wende activities are unique and fun.

Time commitment:

• 1 half day per month. This is flexible and can be morning, afternoon or evening.
• Attend working group meetings several times a year
