Summary

A special and educational workshop in which you can experience for yourself what it is like to live with dementia

Detailed description

We cordially invite you to this special and educational workshop in which you can experience for yourself what it is like to live with dementia. With the help of Virtual Reality (VR) glasses, you can step into the world of someone with dementia. This impressive experience increases your insight and understanding, and helps you to connect even better with the world of experience of the people you are committed to. Feel welcome if you work with the elderly and may occasionally encounter people with dementia or memory problems.

What can you expect?

  • a unique VR experience that makes you feel the impact of dementia
  • in-depth explanation and debriefing with expert guidance
  • practical tips to better connect with people with dementia as a volunteer

Do you want to participate? Register via Jeannet Kamphuis 06 2313 2804/ [email protected]. Due to holidays I will respond on Monday afternoon May 5 and Thursday afternoon May 8. In your message to me, next to your preferred date and time, please provide an alternative in case the workshop date of the preference is full.

About Stimenz Zuidwest

Stimenz is an organization for social work for Apeldoorn and the Veluwe. In Apeldoorn our assignment includes broad social work and in the Veluwe we offer social work and social legal services. Citizens in our work area can rely on the efforts and involvement of Stimenz's 180 employees and approximately 900 volunteers. Together we work to increase well-being, citizen and neighborhood strength. We do this, among other things, by creating social connections in districts, neighborhoods and villages, tackling individual issues through social work and, where possible, deploying collective solutions and translating signals into new initiatives. We do this together with volunteers and active citizens based on reciprocity and involvement.
