Summary

The archive working group of the Oud Apeldoorn Association is looking for volunteers who would like to digitally record the history of Apeldoorn.

Detailed description

If you enjoy searching and researching old materials and images, then you might be the right person for this fun working group. The working group is active a few half days a week and is also open to residents of Apeldoorn on Monday afternoons.

The purpose of the archive of the Oud Apeldoorn Association is to manage, archive and exhibit at a local level the cultural heritage (collection) of the municipality of Apeldoorn. This concerns both objects from the past and current objects that can be expected to be or will become part of the cultural heritage.

The room is furnished with work tables with computers and cabinets for storage. Objects kept in the archive are: books, photos, films, videos, postcards, magazines, newspapers and newspaper articles, association magazines, scrapbooks, anniversary publications of organizations, commemorative medals, certificates, etc. relating to Apeldoorn, the villages and hamlets .

The archive's activities include registering the above-mentioned objects. In addition to archiving, the objects are physically stored, scanned as much as possible and registered in the various computer files. In a number of cases, photos and films are put on CDs and DVDs.

Getting there

The archive can be found in the ACEC building at Roggestraat 44 in the center of Apeldoorn
