Finance board member

We sell Fairtrade products with 35 fellow volunteers with the aim of offering our producers a living income/wage for the long term. The atmosphere is informal and socially involved.

As a finance board member you become a member of a collegial board. Your primary area of focus is finances. Much of the executive work is assigned to the accountant and the Finance and Administration working group.

Together you work on a financially healthy association that permanently meets the requirements of legislation and regulations. In fact, you mainly act as a controller who supervises and, where necessary, directs the financial process. As a board member you also contribute to policy.

The association's board members are also actively involved in certain activities that may lie outside their own portfolio. This involves supporting various independent working groups.

What are we looking for?

You have relevant knowledge and work experience within the financial economics field and want to use that knowledge and experience for at least two years to promote Fairtrade. Together with the other volunteers you help the goals that are

described in the multi-year plan. You take initiatives where necessary.

You are also aware of the fact that we are a volunteer organization.

It is expected that this volunteer position will require several hours per week.

If you start working as a volunteer, you automatically become a member of the Wereldwinkel Apeldoorn Association. In addition to the core activity of the store, the association also organizes recreational activities, where you can get to know the other volunteers better.
