Summary
Marcel has a mild intellectual disability and enjoys the 1 on 1 time with someone. Being seen and heard, making a difference!Detailed description
Who is Marcel?
Marcel is a 57-year-old man with a mild intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group in his apartment at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo. Here he receives guidance. He is a big man with a small heart. He is sweet and likes to help other people. Sometimes he is overestimated by people and he doesn't get it anymore. He has a lot of humor and with a joke you can go a long way with him. He likes Lego, he likes to go to the fright nights at Halloween, likes to walk (with or without a dog) and is very creative! A few mornings a week he works at the paper factory, where he makes flowers and vases from papier mache. He is also on the client council. He would like a volunteer to do nice little things with. Someone who sees and hears him. To matter!
What is Marcel asking?
Marcel would like a volunteer at least once a month. Someone who goes to the Lego store with him, takes a walk together, has lunch somewhere or eats an ice cream. Be creative together. Just the small moments of contact. Someone who gives him clarity and is there for him. Someone who also likes a joke and can stop him when he goes a bit too far in his stories and truths. In short, a volunteer who hears and sees him! You get a big dose of humor in return! The time and day are in consultation. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning he has day care and on Thursday morning client council.
