A pleasant Sunday afternoon together with Brian.

Brian is a wheelchair-bound man with an intellectual disability. He likes to go for walks and to do small things like a game or a chat. He enjoys feeling and music. Brian likes to look around. Brian soon enjoys it and likes to get attention.

Brian sometimes doesn't talk for hours, but on a good day he can suddenly talk a lot again. Brian has epilepsy and dementia. He is helped with food and drink.

The coffee grinder is open every 2 weeks. This is where Brian would like to go again. In addition, he would like to go for a walk together. Would you like to get to know him? Would you like to spend your Sunday afternoon with Brian? Then come by for a cup of coffee and hopefully you will go out with her!

What is Brian asking?

Brian would like to go for a walk together and to the coffee grinder every other week on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Someone who can adapt to Brian. If he is alert, have a nice chat with him. And if he needs rest, offer it to him.

Within 's Heeren Loo, the efforts of volunteers are valuable. They contribute to a meaningful life for people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
