Summary
Harry has an intellectual disability and really enjoys traveling by car every now and thenDetailed description
Who is Harry?
Harry is a 64-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo, where he receives 24-hour care/guidance. You can communicate well with him verbally, but in clear language. Comparable to the level of a toddler. Harry has autism and is introverted. He has a lot of geographical knowledge. He benefits greatly from peace, structure and clarity. If it is restless, he can lose reality and become delusional, he must then be guided to the here and now. His supervisors will provide you with guidance in this regard. He can really enjoy himself and then have the greatest time! Enjoying a car ride; this makes him very relaxed. And then having a cup of coffee together somewhere completes it completely. He loves his laptop and his doll Annemiekje.
He doesn't always have to talk, but also enjoys silence.
What does Harry ask?
We are looking for a volunteer for Harry who can take a car ride with him every now and then (for example once a month for an hour). Enjoy touring together, chatting a bit, but also enjoying driving together in silence. And then eat something together or have a drink somewhere. Escape the crowds and relax for a moment. Someone who knows in advance when he/she is coming and can stick to it. Someone who can keep the peace, is clear and can bring him to the here and now when necessary.
Preferably on Wednesdays or weekends, because then he is always free.
Of course, the kilometers traveled will be reimbursed at 0.30 cents per kilometer.
And other costs incurred will also be reimbursed, such as coffee and a pastry.
