Summary

Marco would like it if someone came for him to cycle together, watch sports or go away for a day, for example.

Detailed description

Who is Marco?:

Marco is a cheerful 34-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. His developmental age is between 2 and 4 years. He lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. He receives 24 hours of supervision. He is a cheerful man with a lot of humor. When he is at ease, he jokes a lot. He has developed his own language, with his own words. A fun challenge to learn to understand his language! Marco likes to watch all sports and likes to talk about them. He enjoys listening to music and cycling. But he would rather go out for a nice day. Marco is visually impaired. His supervisors are happy to tell you more about him!

What does Marco ask?:

We are looking for a buddy for Marco. A man or woman who likes to come especially for Marco once a month or more often. Just escape from the group where he lives. He would like to cycle together, watch sports together, go on a day trip or just go somewhere. His supervisors can coordinate this with you as a volunteer. We are looking for someone who has a sense of humor just like him and can appreciate his jokes, someone who has the patience to learn to understand his language and someone who wants to experience fun things with him. He goes to his parents every other weekend and he can't come on Wednesday evenings. But otherwise he is open to every day.

Will you go on an adventure with him?

We offer you

  • A nice volunteer place
  • An end-of-year gift
  • Insured for third party liability and accidents
  • Travel allowance
  • Annual volunteer party as a thank you for your efforts
  • Possibility of training and information meetings
  • Involved contribution to clients
  • Full appreciation and a priceless experience
