Summary
Wim has always lived at home on his farm, but unfortunately can no longer do this due to his physical condition. An hour to the farm every day would do him a lot of good!Detailed description
Who is Wim?
Wim is a man of 75 years old. He has a mild intellectual disability and dementia. Until recently, he still lived on his farm with the help of his neighbor and home care. Unfortunately, he has deteriorated physically so that he can no longer live alone. Wim enjoys horses, other farm animals and being outside. He chats pleasantly and likes to speak dialect/flat. He needs full help with the adl. He will eat and drink on his own if this is in front of him. He uses a wheelchair. Wim is sad, being outside distracts him. Hence the question for a volunteer.
What is Wim asking? Wim prefers to go to the farm on the site where he lives from Monday to Friday from 9.45 to 10.45 am. This is within walking distance. He likes to watch the mucking out of the stables. Also in the afternoon from 1 pm it would be nice if Wim could go for a walk and then be at the farm around 1.30 pm for his work on the farm. If you are interested, but are not able to do it every day, we would also like to hear from you.
