Function information

Kurt is a cheerful man of 76 years with an intellectual disability. He often understands well what is being said to him. Kurt doesn't talk himself but by making gestures and sounds he can make many things clear.

Due to his advancing age, he is dependent on a walker for longer distances and he often uses it to walk around our residential care park independently.

Kurt really enjoys watching DIY programs and is an avid handyman in his own way. He is looking for a handy volunteer (star) who wants to carpenter or saw with him on a regular basis. Because working together is much more fun than alone! We are sure that if you click, Kurt will really enjoy being together.

Within 's Heeren Loo, the efforts of volunteers are valuable. They contribute to a meaningful life for people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.

A VOG is required from you to work with our clients. This is requested through 's Heeren Loo, you can declare the costs for this.
