Summary
Through this experience circuit, gain insight into how people with autism experience reality and what they feel.Detailed description
You meet a lot of people in your volunteer work. They may also include people with autism. You don't always recognize that someone has autism. Knowledge about recognizing and dealing with people with autism can help you understand the other person better and make communication run more smoothly.
Gerda and Anita, trainers of the Autism Experience Circuit, give you an insight into how people with autism experience reality and what they feel through this experience circuit. Not through all kinds of theories, but from everyday practice. By letting yourself experience it. Through assignments you will learn about the different aspects of the world of someone with autism. This leads to surprising insights. For example, where people without disabilities think in total images, people with autism think in fragments and often take assignments very literally. Each assignment provides practical tips for dealing with people with autism. In addition to theory, videos and experiential exercises, Lianne, autism expert, talks about her life with autism. Of course there is also room for your questions.
A maximum of 20 participants can participate. So sign up quickly.
